Fall 2010 Practice Schedule and Parent's Meeting

We would like to welcome you all back for what promises to be an outstanding year of swimming. We look forward to seeing you at our August 31st parents meeting which will be at 6:30pm at Burke High School and will last approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

We are coming off of one of the most successful Long Course seasons ever. MOST swimmers averaged over 53 points each at the D1 meet in Lincoln. This was easily the highest of any Omaha team and second only to Lincoln Select. While the total points accrued often indicate little more than which team has the most swimmers, this point average is a solid indicator of the quality of the swimmers on the team. We can all be very proud of both our program and the outstanding effort and dedication of the fine young men and women that choose to be a part of our family.

Congratulations Athletes and Coaches!

Congratulations to our wonderful athletes and coaches! MOST did fantastic at the Midwestern Long-Course Championships July 30 - Aug 1st.

The coaches did a fantastic job all season long and our fine young men and women showed outstanding dedication and team bonding.

Special thanks are in order to so many of our families that worked incredibly hard to make sure that these kids had the opportunity to be their best. We have consistently striven to make this a program about developing outstanding character and leadership, not just fast swimmers; a goal that is made much easier thanks to the exceptional examples that so many of you have set. We hope that you all have a safe and enjoyable break and we look forward to a wonderful short course season.

Even Swim Coaches End Up With Odd Jobs at Meets

Coach Curtis Benson atop 3m Diving Board with White Board At D1 12&U UNO MeetMOST Coach Curtis Benson came to the rescue when UNO's electronic display failed at the 12 and under D1 Championship Meet. With two pools running simultaneously, the scoreboard's absence made it almost impossible for coaches and kids to keep track of what event and heat was in the water. Coach Benson sat upon the cramped and uncomfortable board for hours on end. Thanks to this kind of dedication, the meet ended up a great success.
